Along with the development of the construction and engineering, concrete is animportant part of the construction field. With the dynamic effect of earthquake, explosionand other special cause, buildings and structures are not always in static, which requiresthe knowledge of the material properties of concrete in static and dynamic architecture. In this dissertation, the research is based on the uniaxial tensile and compression ofconcrete considering strain rate. The constitutive relation of shafting and loading is thefoundation of structure about the concrete; it is not only an important basis about themechanism of failure and theory of strength, but also the indispensable theoretical basisin analyzing of structure and performance of mechanics on concrete. In this experiment,we use the electro-hydraulic servo system of American MTS and high-speed portable testsystem of Iotech, and make the loading devices perfect on that basis to avoid affecting therate concrete under the stiffness of experiment equipment. Under the strain rate10-2/s,10-3/s,10-4/s,10-5/s and10-6/s, we do the uniaxial tensile and compression of the concretesamples that designing strength is from C20to C60and these have four shapes anddimensions. So we can acquainte tensile and compressive of concrete loading, the microstrain of strain gauge pasting and the change of displacement LVDT, which can reflectthe dynamic performance of concrete; the constitutive relations of the tensile andcompressive of concrete under different strain rates.Through a lot of test of specimens on concrete, under the different loading rates wediscuss the influence on the tensile and compressive strength; elastic modulus; poisson’sratio; peak strain and stress-strain curve, and put forward the tensile and compressiveequation of stress-strain curve on concrete. The purpose is to establish a suitableconstitutive relationship research which is the different design strength of concrete fromC20to C60considering the influence of strain rate on the tensile and compressive test. The purpose is that we can provide the theory basis for the structure on concrete.
