Nowadays the major military powers of the world are committed to developinganti-missile techniques. Their CIWS and tracking radars have reduced thesurvivability of missiles effectively. Therefore, anti-ship missiles must be verycapable to counter powerful air defense. Against such a backdrop, the cooperativeattack of multiple missiles against a single target becomes very necessary. Thispaper aims at achieving cooperative attack of anti-ship missiles, by designinghoming law to control the time-to-go of missiles with a view to guarantee thatmultiple missiles can hit the same target simultaneously. The major contents of thepaper are as follows:First of all, to facilitate sharing the information of the status of multiplemissiles, relative motion equations of the moving missiles are set up in inertialframe. What’s more, issues such as the nonlinear optimal solutions of proportionalguidance law, trajectory planning of coordinated attack and plan of multiple-to-onecooperative attack are analyzed.Secondly, under the premise of multiple-to-one attack, a distributed cooperativeguidance law is designed in this paper, which resembles the structure ofproportional guidance and has time-varying guidance law. The cooperative attackcan be achieved by coordinating the time-to-go of multiple missiles. Finally, by applying leader-follower model, a centralized cooperative guidancelaw is designed in this paper. This guidance law chooses differences of thetime-to-go and advance angels between the leading missile in relation to the line ofsight and the followers as the control variable of the guidance system of thefollowers. This control variable is used to adjust the flying status of the followers tocooperate with the leading missiles, so as to guarantee that multiple missiles can hitthe target simultaneously.
