According to the special circumstances of the underwater closed cabin and thefunctional requirements of air filter test rig, the ventilation test system based onSiemens PLC controller has been presented. The article mainly include the followingworks:Firstly, a novel design scheme which has small occupation of land and highprecision flow control has been proposed. The design of the scheme is divided intopipeline system design and control system design.Secondly, establish3-D model of the pipeline system; derive the hydrauliccalculation formulas of the gas pipeline and conduct the simulation using the ANSYSFluent software. Based on model simulations, the static and dynamic pressure cloudpictures, the flow charts and the plots of the pipeline system have been acquired.Due to the analysis results of the above factors, the3-D model has been modified.Furthermore, the installation location of the key components in the pipeline systemand the pipeline construction drawings has been determined.Thirdly, by studying the control requirements, the automatic control system ofcomputer for the upper computer and PLC for the lower computer has beendetermined. The system mainly includes process control and constant flow control.Constant flow control algorithm uses PID control algorithm, the control mode is thecollaborative control using inverter and control valve. When the real-time flow valueis lower than the set flow value, the system only uses the inverter. Otherwise thesystem only uses the control valve.Finally, Using Siemens PLC programming software STEP7MicroWIN and thetouch screen configuration software SIMATIC WinCC flexible design man-machineinterface of the ventilation test system. The test platform of protection test system hasbeen built. The control system has been tested, the results show that the system can bestable operation and various functions can normally achieve.
