Inductively Coupled Power Transfer (ICPT) is a novel power transfer technologyused to transfer power from the static power supply to the electrical devices. It greatlyimproved the traditional access of power by transferring the power to electrical devicesthrough coupling magnetic,in which enhancing the flexibility and removing the hiddenhazards existing in the traditional power transfer technology. As a novel power transfertransmission mode,ICPT has received wide attention in the academia and industry aswell.Booming successful applications exhibited the enormous practical value, economicand social profit as well.Nowadays, the demand for this new type of power supply mode is increasing. purelyfunctional of the electrical equipment in life is no longer meet the needs, clean, simple, safety, design aesthetics becoming the standard of measure of the people. The ICPTtechnology emerge well to achieve the perfect combination of power, signal and networkwireless transmission of three technologies, bringing to people’s lives more convenient, free lifestyle. In the daily life most of the electrical equipment within the range of smalland medium power level (about1kW).Therefore, Therefore, this paper is mainly fordesign and control problems of small and medium-sized power level ICPT system, given the design process and control method to achieve the powe wireless transmissionfrom the primary supply to load pick-up side. This paper described the basic principle and fundamental structure of ICPT.Themain circuit, protection circuit and control circuit of ICPT device for small and mediumpower level of electrical equipment is designed. Also,a control program of the system isdesigned and achieved a soft switching control of the entire system as well as loadidentification function. To use Simulink simulation software to build a simulation modelof the system and verify that the operating characteristics of the system. Finally ahardware system was devised for experimentation verification. The experimental resultsshow that the design of the system can run in the soft-switching state, and on this basis, load output voltage amplitude, transmission power and efficiency indicators meet thedesign requirements. In addition, overcurrent detecting, plus the load and frequencydetection and some other functions were achieved successfully.
