Curved-door structure of tall buildings is a new cross-section construction in theform of energy-saving, environment-friendly, which not only gives people a sense ofbeauty in the buildings, saves a lot of building materials, but also pay more attentionto the building function. Using the semi-analytical energy method, this study analyzesthe curved-door-tube structure. The main works are as follows:(1) First, the curved-door structure is simplified into the thin-walledcurved-gantry-tube structure with the distribution of continuous stiffness and massdistribution. Then we semi-discretize curved-door-tube structure, and turn the staticanalysis of this structure or the free vibration problems into ordinary differentialequation boundary value problem, using the energy principle. Finally, we use ordinarydifferential equation solver supported by COLSYS to solve it.(2) Example analysis: We discuss the ground, foundation, superstructure work, static analysis, free vibration problems of tall buildings’ curved-door-tube structure.(3) The results show that the curved-door-tube structure of the tall buildings notonly has a good overall coordination performance, and has very small lateraldisplacement under transverse loads, thus the structure has a good stability; sincethree directions (x, y, z) of vibration cycle are very different, it is less prone to longercycle-coupled vibration, we, when designing, should pay more attention to the weakparts of the cross-section and the impact of torsional vibration on the structure.
