The scramjet engine is the most promising engine applied to the hypersonicvehicle engine and its ability to work normally almost depends on whether the fuelsupply system can satisfy the requirements of the scramjet engine. The scramjetengine uses regenerative cooling. The fuel cools the the engine as a coolant. As aresult, the temperature of the fuel is so high that there are some relatively higherdemands on the fuel flow rate control valve. Therefore, in order to control the flowrate of the fuel fastly, accurately, and smoothly, it is necessary to study the structure,the control method and the control characteristics of the fuel flow rate control valve.Hydraulic controlled high-temperature fuel flow rate control valve iscontrolled by a hydraulic pilot control system. It consists of a main valve and ahydraulic pilot control system The main valve port is a Laval tube nozzle to obtainadequate fuel flow rate and the hydraulic pilot control system can provide asufficient drive force. This article describes the structure and working principle ofthe valve. Then the hydraulic pilot control system is considered as a hydraulicposition control system, the mathematical models of the valve are built. thedisplacement closed loop control is presented. But this method requires the constantenvironment variables that are almost impossible. So a kind of flow rate closed loopcontrol is presented too. The simulation of the two control methods and what effectthe high temperature has on the control characteristics are carried out by AMESimsoftware and an analysis of the control method and how the pressure and thestiffness of the bellows work on the flow rate colsed loop control is given too. Thena test rig for the hydraulic controlled high-temperature fuel flow rate control valveis built and the control characteristics of the displacement closed loop control areanalyzed. All of the simulation analysis are compared with the experiment results.Then the control characteristics of the displacement closed loop control arepresented.
