With the growing capacity of the wind turbine, the hazards of vibration of thewind turbine is very critical, which is closely related to the mechanical parameters. The mechanical parameters of the wind turbine has already measured which is givenby the factory, but after running a few years later, the parameters will change, whichwill cause the tower resonance. Moreover, these mechanical parameters can not bemeasured directly. This article of wind turbine about mechanical parameteridentification is rare, because a drawback of many works in the area of the windturbine simulation is that either a very simple mechanical model is used with adetailed electrical model, or vice versa. Hence, the effects of interactions betweenelectrical and mechanical components are not accurately taken into account. Sothere is no complete model of the winde turbine to indentify the mechanicalcharacteristics. In response to this situation, the paper proposes that FAST establish acomplete aerodynamics model and wind turbine mechanical properties model, andthen combine with double-fed motor control model established in Simulink to createa complete DFIG simulation platform. After platform finished, the the wind turbinemechanical parameters identification and doubly-fed machine parameters can bedone. The wind turbine mechanical parameters identification, which take the voltagethree-phase mechanical shock drop failure to excite themaechanical characteristics, then do rotor torque Fourier analysis, use three-mass and two-mass model windturbine inherent oscillation frequency to separately identify the mechanicalparameters of the wind turbine, and finally carried out a comparative analysis ofsimulation results, it is shown that tree-mass model identification is the moreaccurate result. Double-fed motor parameter identification is simple and feasiblemethod of least squares identification, and simulation results show that the methodhas achieved good recognition effect.
