In the21st century, the serious shortage of fossil energy accelerates thedevelopment of microgrid and distributed generator (DG). The prominent advantagesof distributed generator are pollution-free, efficient and flexible, but its some inherentcharacteristics limit its development and application. During recent years, microgridbecomes an efficient application mode of dirtributed generators. As a result, itsresearch and application attract every country’s special attention.A large amout of power electronic devices are applied to control distributedgenerator in microgrid. The harmonic of power electronic devices and nonlinear loadaffects the power quality in the microgrid, which cannot be ignored. In addition, whendistributed generator converts wind power and solar energy to electric energy, thevariation of external environment causes voltage fluctuation, which makes it moredifficult to suppress harmonic.This paper addresses on the suppression of harmonic in microgrid with activepower filter under one cycle control. First, photovoltaic systems, battery energystorage system, doubly-fed VSCF wind power system and microgrid models are builtby MATLAB/SIMULINK. Then this paper analyses single phase and three phaseactive power filter under one cycle control, and deduces the control equation, andbuild the control model. Some select principles of main parameters in the model aresummaried with theory analysis and simulation process. At last, active power filterunder one cycle control is used into different microgrid operation modes.According to the simulation of microgrid with different DG and different loads,select principles of inductor, capacitor and PI controller are achieved. The comparisonof current total harmonic distortion with and without APF illustrates that APF hasgood compensation performance. In addition, APF has good stability when microgridhas voltage fluctuation in islanded mode, and current total harmonic distortion isdecreased to satisfy corresponding requirements.
