Insulator with its simple structure, low manufacturing cost, more often than otherpower device is not to be taken seriously generally, but in actual insulators intransmission line problems will be caused by transmission line fault, even for thesystem truss mechanism causing great harm. The composite insulator flashover faultanalysis of unknown cause, and improve conditions for different electric fielddistribution of composite insulator composite insulator end calculation andimprovement of electric field distribution were studied, put forward the correspondingoptimization measures.Through research and analysis of composite insulator in operation process mayexist in the foreign influence, separately from the gas, liquid and solid, angle,unknown reason flashover of composite insulator is discussed; through the Maxwellsoftware on500kV AC composite insulators are end electric field and the electric fieldcalculation, improvement effect is verified.
