As the traditional energy becomes exhausted and the environment problem getsincreasingly serious, wind power has drawn more and more attention as a kind ofrenewable and green energy. As wind turbine works in complex load environmentcaused by random varying wind load and is hard to maintain, the reliability of gearboxin the wind turbine becomes a big issue in wind power engineering. Therefore, it isimportant to study the reliability of the gear transmission system under the condition ofactual wind load. The study of the reliability of the transmission system is based on thestudy of the dynamic characteristics of the transmission system. The objective of this paper is to study the dynamic performance and the reliabilityof the transmission system of1.5MW wind generator. The structure of the transmissionsystem is composed of one stage of planetary gear and two stages of parallel shafthelical gear.Concrete research work is as follows:①A dynamic model is buit with the gear box of the1.5MW wind generator asobject, and an equation is buit with consideration given to the torsional deflection andtime-varying-meshing stiffness of gears, transmission error.②The dynamic response of the system, including the displacement and speed ofthe gear, mesh force of the gear pairs, torque which the shaft transmitted and thefrequency response of the transmission system, are investigated. Comparing with thedifferent load and then the dynamic characteristics of the transmission system isinvestigated.③Based on dynamic model, select number of teeth etc.as the design variable, thedynamic optimization design model of transmission system of wind turbine isbuit, which aims at reducing the total mass and reducing the vibration level.④The optimization result proves fully the desigh parameter after optimization canreduce obviously systematic weight and vibration. It is proved that the research resultsof this thesis is rationality and feasibility. The research work of this paper has provided some theoretical references for theengineering design of the gear transmission system under varying wind load conditions, and laid the foundation for the industry application.
