Smart constrained layer damping(SCLD) has a very wide frequency, combinedactive and passive、low energy consumption、 good robustness and many otheroutstanding advantages. It’s have broad application prospects in the aerospace, defense,machinery, automobile and civil engineering and other fields. Due to SCLD structureresearch involves materials, automatic control, and dynamics of several engineering, Ithas been widely used in military, aerospace and other high-end products. With theincreasing of car comfort requirements, the traditional method has already can’t satisfypeople’s needs, SCLD structure appears for automobile body sheet structure vibrationsuppression provides a very good choice.It first expound to background of SCLD, research status at home and abroad andthe main question the research involves. Secondly, according to the classical theory ofplate It research the model of single layer plate structure and proves the correctness ofthe model through the example analysis. then the local pasting of viscoelastic materialsand piezoelectric materials wit constrained damping structure has carried on the studyon the method of finite element model. the SCLD finite element model is establishedthrough the analysis of the damping characteristics of viscoelastic material and theelectromechanical coupling characteristics of the piezoelectric materials. Through theexample analysis, the comparison of ANSYS analysis to validate the correctness of theestablished finite element model. Through the study of dynamic condensation methodand high precision for control of the robust of model order to reduce the model. Itproved the accuracy of order reduction method by comparing before and after the orderreduction of the inherent characteristics. It research SCLD structure control method byusing LQR methods and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink to obtained ideal controleffect. In order to guarantee the stability of the system, and the robust control algorithmis selected as the smart controller of constrained damping structure according to thecharacteristics of SCLD. through the reasonable selection of the parameters it work outthe controller of the system and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink respectively for singlefrequency sinusoidal interference, complex periodic interference and white noise. thesimulation results show that the control of these interference has good vibration controleffect. Finally using Dspace and ControlDesk for vibration control experiments of the closed-loop system and obtained the comparatively satisfactory result of vibrationcontrol. It laid a foundation for further research in the future.
