In order to solve the poor dispersion linearity, spectrum plane bending, single function and other problems when traditional plane prism applied in spectrometer, Ch.Fery proposed a curved surface Prism (Fery Prism). In addition, the prism has the characteristics of the collimation and imaging. The paper was based on the actual project, and the work was carried out related to the characteristics of Fery prism dispersion, collimation, imaging. The significance and the current state of art for investigation of Fery prism are introduced firstly. In the second chapter, the structure and working principle of Fery prism are introduced. The dispersion characteristics including the collimating characteristics and dispersion characteristics are analyzed. Then the imaging characteristics of Fery prism are analyzed, and that the main inherent aberration of Fery prism is astigmatism is expounded, and the intrinsic astigmatism of Fery prism theory is calculated and analyzed by incorporating its theoretical concept. At last, the way to determine its initial structure parameters is given, by which its integral astigmatism over working waveband is minimized, and the conclusion that Fery prism can not be imaging element along is received. In the third chapter, the application of Fery prism is analyzed and summarized. Firstly, the Fery prism spectroscopic imaging system worked in visible light is designed, then through consulting relevant literatures and actual application about Frey prism the applicable reason and advantage of Fery prism used in Offner system are expounded. In the fourth chapter, the detection problem of Fery prism application link is researched. A detecting method and system for Fery prism is designed and validated by the experiment. And the three-coordinate measurement of Fery prism report is presented to be the reference for the evaluation of the optical detecting method of Fery prism. At last, compare two detecting methods and their test results, the advantage and disadvantage of two detection methods are summarized, and the guidance signification for actual processing and design is also summarized. In the last chapter, the work and its innovation points are concluded and further researches prospected.
