| The development of basic construction project are suppressed by soft soil foundation problems in coastal region in our country, many researches and experiments proved that artificial hard shell layer which has stronger structure and better integrality formed by artificial solidifying on the soft soil surface can suppress the deformation of soft soil foundation, improve soft soil layer’s force state effectively, it can meet ground bearing capacity need for low level load and own the features of short construction period, low construction cost and controllable hard shell layer strength. Adding the rib beam under the hard shell layer overcome the shortcoming of solidifying thickness is limited by construction machines, improving soft soil foundation bearing capacity again. So, it has important significance to study soft soil foundation curved hard shell layer with rib beam in theory and practice.According to the theory of Winkler foundation model, we use GEO-Slope SIGMA/W which is2D finite element software to build numerical analysis model of soft soil foundation curved hard shell layer with rib beam. The main research contents are as follows:(1) Analyzing working principle of soft soil foundation curved hard shell layer with rib beam, the key of improve soft soil foundation bearing capacity is closing and stress dispersion function, and elaborating that rib beam improve the force state of soft soil layer.(2) Studying the vertical additional stress distribution of soft soil foundation curved hard shell layer with or not rib beam under the function of column uniform load, analyzing the vertical additional stress coefficient variability along the vertical and horizontal direction, at the same time, analyzing the influence of hard shell layer with rib beam to the vertical additional stress distribution in soft soil foundation.(3) Getting horizontal additional stress variability along the vertical and horizontal direction in soft soil foundation curved hard shell layer with rib beam by finite element method, and studying influence of hard shell layer with rib beam to the horizontal additional stress distribution in soft soil foundation, and providing the horizontal additional stress dispersion range.(4) Studying how modulus ratio which is meaning the hard shell layer modulus divided by soft soil modulus and load width and other parameters to affect vertical additional stress distribution and horizontal additional stress distribution by single variable method, analyzing vertical additional stress and horizontal additional stress variability with modulus ratio and load width. Giving how the relevant parameters to influence the horizontal additional stress dispersion range.(5) Analyzing how the geometric parameters of rib beam such as height and width to affect vertical additional stress distribution and horizontal additional stress distribution, according to depth variability and horizon local changing, studying influence degree and range of rib beam geometric parameters variability. Rib beam height and average additional stress decreasing degree show quadratic function. Rib beam width and average additional stress decreasing degree show linear relation.(6) According to static balance principle and limit balance condition, equivalent thickness formula of soft soil foundation curved hard shell layer with rib beam to soft soil foundation curved common hard shell and approximate bearing capacity calculation method have deduced.
