Wind power, as the most mature and widely used of all renewable energy, has got greatly development in recent years. In recent years, especially under the guidance of wind power development strategy of "building large bases and integrating into large grid" and a series of preferential policies for new energy development in our country, wind power shows the characteristics of large-scale and centralized development. And with the integration of large-scale wind power into grid, the problems is more and more prominent which including the enormous impact of wind power on the grid, wind power overcapacity and the lagging behind construction for supporting grid. Therefore, in the context of wind power integrating capacity increasing sharply and the interaction between the new energy and traditional power grid become stronger, a reasonable assessment of the grid’s acceptable capacity of wind power has important theoretical significance and practical value. The main content of this thesis is as follows:(1) Conclude the major factors that affecting the grid’s acceptable capacity of wind power and the major bottlenecks which restricting the operation of wind power integrating into grid;(2) Proposed an assessment method of acceptable integrating capacity for single and multiple wind farms under the static security constraints. And the feasibility of the method proposed in this paper is verified by case simulations;(3) Derived the formula for calculating the acceptable capacity of wind power of the regional power grid, while taking into account the effects of the new energy output characteristics on the view of peak-load regulating capacity constraint. The acceptable capability is calculated for each month with the typical peak and valley load data and system parameters. The calculation results show that the acceptable capacity of the regional power grid between each month throughout the year is large due to seasonal variations of the load and the power structure;(4) Established a long-term wind power and photovoltaic output model based on the historical data of wind speed and solar radiation resources. And analyzed the output fluctuation characteristics of the hybrid wind-PV-ES generation system with different capacity configurations, and then the optimal capacity configuration method of the hybrid generation system is proposed for smoothing the output fluctuation.
