Residential area is one of the urban space form existing in the social group. The residential environment landscape design reflects the overall image of residential area, it plays an important role in improving the quality of urban residential and urban image. Residential area is the living home of urban community, also an important living area for people in addition to work. In the late90s, commercialization of housing reform and the housing develop in China, consumers pay more and more attention to the residential environment landscape quality, also increased financial resources and manpower management in urban construction of residential environment landscape. However, the domestic residential environment landscape design exist many blind area and design defects, it lead to safety accident occurred frequently. Environmental safety is the most basic survival environments for human beings. How to use the theory of landscape design with environmental safety and develop a modern residential landscape design method of safety, have great research significance and also urgently needs to solve the problem.In this paper,we take Shenzhen Vanke town for mainly case,through on-the-spot investigation and the study of interdisciplinary, from the perspective of the security of residential area landscape design, analysis the road system of residential areas, greening landscape, water landscape, site landscape, etc, and explore the effective theory and countermeasure, for the security of the residential environment landscape design provides important design basis,it have great significance for the connotation of the future city improvement and environmental construction.
