Along with the rapid development of China’s economy, energy saving is taken careby more and more people. Compact Fluorescent Lamps will be used more widely by thedevelopment of green lighting industry.First, this paper introduces the principle of electronic energy-saving lamps and itsbarretter. Three different design schemes are compared. Analyzing the domestic andforeign market, the basic structure of the circuit chip, design parameters, and theinternal block diagram are decided. The main function of this circuit is to use twosignals driving two switches in the half-bridge circuit. And the function of thehalf-bridge will be realized. The chip is characterized in that the high and low voltagedevices are integrated on a chip. The chip adopts the high voltage600V BCD process.Through the bootstrap capacitors, high voltage output can floating between0V and600V. So it can achieve high and low voltage level conversion. And it can drive powertube off and on.This paper is focused on the internal circuit module of the chip, and thecorresponding waveforms are given. The circuit comprises a preheating circuit,under-voltage protection circuit, oscillator, dead zone generating circuit, and the lowand high output circuit. First, the filament will product current. Then the filament’stemperature is high enough to thermal electron emission. Producing high enoughvoltage in the lamp, the filament immediately comes into the arc discharge state. Thecircuit function of dead zone generating is to prevent two power tubes conducting at thesame time.The development process of BCD technology is introduced briefly. And the BCDtechnology used by the chip is introduced. On this basis, the analysis and design of thecircuit layout are done.BCD process of600V is used by the chip. Cadence simulation tool is used for thedesign of circuit and layout.
