With the increasing complexity of the power grid, the requirements of its power quality态economy and security have also been improved. Reactive power optimization is one of effective ways to improve the power grid and solve many problems, so it obtains more and more attention. For reactive power optimization can not only adjust the grid voltage, thereby improving the power quality of the power grid, but also can be effective in reducing the power loss of the grid, to reach the requirements of economy and security. So the research of distribution network reactive power optimization has an extremely important practical significance.In recent years, Distributed generations, as a renewable energy source, has gained the rapid development and more attention. Distributed generations have the feature of installation convenience and flexible supply, and combined with centralized power generation, can effectively improve the reliability of power supply, power quality and reduce network losses.After analysis and study of Reactive Power Optimization, this article puts forward Hybrid Algorithm of Particle Swarm and Hereditary. Distributed Generation, considered as variable, access to the distribution network, thus it will fulfill requirements for reactive power optimization. It will make active loss of the entire grid become the minimum, as well as to improve power system security, stability and economy.
