In the engineering project of foundation pit with permanent slope, it makes the problem even more complex, because of involving a stability calculation about permanent slope, as well as relating to the aspect of stability, deformation, etc., of deep foundation pit. This problem has not been well solved in engineering practice. To solve this type of problem, the finite element method was used for integrally analyzing, to carry out an in-depth exploration in this paper. The result showed that:1. The limit equilibrium method and the finite element strength reduction method were used in stability calculation of homogeneous and multi-layer soil slope. The impact of relevant parameter in the calculation process with the finite element strength reduction method, to the calculation result, was analyzed as a main point. The calculation result showed that the result was valid and reliable by means of the finite element strength reduction method.2. The principle of design and analysis in deep foundation pit, the analysis principle of interaction between soil and structure, and its corresponding calculation method, were introduced. Meantime the impact stressing of the construction step to foundation pit supporting structure was calculated and analyzed by using the finite element method. The result showed that construction step had a greater impact on stressing and deformation of the supporting structure. The analysis of stressing and deformation on supporting structure should be combined with the construction step in the foundation pit design, as well as the supporting structure was accordingly designed.3. As for the engineering example which was a permanent slope in the upper part of the foundation pit, large-scale finite element analysis software PLAXIS was used. Considering soil nonlinearity, and slope and foundation pit excavation and support of the hierarchical step-by-step construction principle, in accordance with the construction step of excavation and support in the actual foundation pit, a two-dimensional finite element model was established for numerical simulation analysis. The factors of safety coefficient of slope and foundation pit, deformation, and the influence of underground water level, etc., were analyzed. Combining with the actual engineering, the result and suggestion which were beneficial to engineering design and construction provided a reference for similar engineering design.
