With the rapid development of today’s science and technology, intelligent controltechnology has been used widely in our daily life. At the same time, the requirements ofaccessing information and data real-time processing become more and more severe. Theoriginal control system of car is mainly based on MCU (Microprogrammed Control Unit), anda small amount of them based on DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology. However, astheir some important disadvantages, they can no longer meet the needs of modern controlsystem, such as complexity of control, low speed of processing, hard to upgrade andmaintenance.After looking into the current situation of the development of hybrid electric vehicleenergy management system at home and abroad, a new kind of hybrid car multi energymanagement system based on FPGA is put forward. The system is mainly composed of twoparts, namely the peripheral hardware circuit and the hardware circuit in the SOPC Bulider.The peripheral hardware circuit is mainly used for auxiliary control and providing the othernecessary equipments. And the peripheral circuit contains some modules, such as powermanagement module, relay control module, signal acquisition module, AD digital to analogconversion module and LCD display module, etc. The core control part of the system isimplemented by FPGA. By taking charge of the automatic switchover of each power sourceand detecting working condition in the system, the core control part can achieve intelligentcontrol to the whole system. Since hardware system constructed by FPGA can complete allthe control logic, and has high efficiency, high speed, sufficient scalable peripheral interface,and can embed the Nois II soft nucleus, it has big flexibility in designing and practicing.Among the design of multi energy management system, the control of the whole systemis completed by using the FPGA platform, which is the DE2-70development board launchedby Altera corporation. There are three relays used to control the working condition of thethree kinds of power source. Control and complete three kinds of power source at any time.After master control chip process the signals collected from signal acquisition module, thencontrolling on-off of the relays and displaying the data on the LCD in real time, in order tomake people know the power supply’s status timely. After integrated and experimented, thissystem is easy to use and move, avoiding the instability of signals caused by drivingconditions and speed problems in the process of moving. Besides, this system is easy toupgrade for the use of the FPGA chip. Above all, this system is simple operate, and itsworking condition is stable, reliable, fast and efficient, and has broad application prospects.
