With the increment of railway technology and speedup of the running speed for train,how to ensure the safety and efficiency of driving gradually becomes a serious problem.While Chinese train control system plays a key role in improving efficiency of train drivingand ensuring the safety of driving, analysis and research on the safety of Chinese train controlsystem has become an important and complex issue. Based on this background, the thesismainly has compared Chinese train control system level2(CTCS-2) with CTCS-3, and findsthat there is a security defects about the system structure by modeling and verifying CTCS-2system. According to this problem using the existing global system of mobile comm-unication for railway (GSM-R) system in CTCS-2system to improve the design forcommunication interface of the existing train control system, detailed analysis and designcontents are below.Firstly, to analyze the function of the CTCS-2system, use formal modeling languageunified modeling language (UML) to model for system’s function under a particular scene,and abstract the UML class diagram of the system, after all, converting the model to symbolicmodel verifier (SMV) process. Using symbol model checking tool to validate the model andshowing that the system structure exists the defects in terms of security, and there is also adisadvantage compared with CTCS-3in the aspect of function. Therefore, adding the wirelesstransmission mode in CTCS-2realizing the communication between vehicle and ground, andimproving the safety of train operation are very necessary through the research.Secondly, to analyze the application of GSM-R system in CTCS-2, CTCS-2passengerdedicated line uses GSM-R for dispatching communication system network in China, adoptwireless coverage along the railway, and use the wireless terminal in locomotive. So takingadvantage of the global packet radio system (GPRS) technology of the existing GSM-Rnetwork, coordinating the centralized traffic control (CTC) system and overall designtwo-way closed-loop transmission channel for signal on-board and ground system information,and detailed design the transmission protocol, transmission mode and realization ways.Through the design of communication interface sending the running information to themaintenance center on the ground. Because centralized monitoring of the signal on the groundcan real-time monitor the vehicle information at runtime, signal centralized monitoringsystem can send the monitored information to the maintenance center, then maintenancecenter can analyze these two groups of data.In this thesis, through modeling, verifying and analyzing the CTCS-2system, there arethe security defects existed in the system structure. Through overall design and detailed local design for communication interface of system to improve the structure defects of the system,so as to improve the safety and reliability of CTCS-2system.
