With the aggravating environmental problem and energy crisis,electric vehicleswere given more and more concern. In recent years, the government has consecutivelycarried out a package of preferential policies to support the electric vehicle industry,which attracted more and more auto makers to plunge into electric automobiledevelopment. The electric vehicle, whose most eminent character is that thetraditional combustion engine was replaced by electric power, is different fromtraditional cars, and the electric drive as well as the afflicted control system formed asthe core of electric cars.The test verification of transmission system is the key in the development ofelectric vehicles. Indoor bench test has become the main method for such test by itssafety,good repeatability, maneuverability and economy. As the main carrier of thebench test, the study on high speed test bench of electric vehicle transmission systemhas certain practical engineering significance. Electric vehicle driveline system isdifferent from the traditional one in its high speed and high dynamic characteristics. inorder to meet the requirements of electric vehicle high dynamic test, it is urgent todevelop relevant test systems.Based on "electric vehicle drive system of the high speed experimental", oneproject of Chongqing Institute of science and technology, many research were doneaimed at high-speed test bench design and its high-speed dynamic characteristicanalysis. This paper mainly includes three parts. Firstly,the study of test methods andfeasibility were accomplished, which includes analysis of the overall design schemeand its feasibility; secondly, the design of the test bench was presented, including thetest setup and the key components analysis; finally, based on the analysis ofhigh-speed dynamic characteristic of the test bench, the critical speed of drive shaftson the test bench was calculated, and the effect of key parts to the shafts critical speedwas also obtained.
