As an effective energy-saving products, heat pump palys an increasingly important rolein air conditioning. In this study,I used the building energy simulation software eQUEST,tocompare the energy efficiency of a public building in Chengdu. Air-source heat pump andriver water source heat pump air conditioning system are simulated aiming to providereference for the application of water source heat pump in Chengdu area.First of all, a baseline building model was established. According to the energy-savingspecification, enclosure structure thermal parameters of base construction,indoor heatrejection capacity, air conditioning and its energy efficiency ratio was determined.Second,adesign model was built in which two types of heat pump systems were used.Finally, annualenergy consumptions of two models were computed.The simulation results show that the model using air source systems and water-sourceheat pump system comply with the energy efficiency code.The model using air-source heatpump system saves energy by49.8%, The model using river water-source heat pump systemsaves energy by59.4%. The model using river water-source heat pump system is moreenergy-efficient than that using air-source heat pump system.
