The technology of renovating concrete is widely used in road, tunnel, bridge andother maintenance engineering, but there are some problems in traditional mechanicaltechnologies, such as high dust, large noise, low efficiency and heavy labor intensity.Hydrodemolition is a current rapid development technology abroad using high pressurewater jet to crush concrete. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, high quality,selectivity, safety and environmental protection, wide adaptability. However, itsdevelopment is limited, due to the high pump pressure, expensive imported equipment,and difficult localization.Based on the hydrodemoliting effect of large flow abrasive water jet with thecharacteristics of strong erosion ability and low pressure, the concept of concretehydrodemolition engineering vehicle is put forward, and the foundation research isstudied based on the theoretical analysis, numerical simulation analysis and engineeringdesign, etc.①A macroscopic crack and microcosmic damage finite element analysis modelwas established by ANSYS/LS-Dyna. The dynamic effect that a single abrasive particlecrushed and impacted concrete was studied by numerical simulation. It showed that theaccelerated abrasive particles crushed and impacted concrete surface, instantly theconcrete was crushed and new cracks were formed, and then the shock wave, inducedby the crushing, led to secondary damage, ultimately a erosion funnel was formed.②Based on the orthogonal experiment method, the experiment of large flowabrasive jet crushing concrete was researched. It showed that abrasive jet can effectivelyreduce the pressure by an order of magnitude, and that the main factors, which affect thelarge flow abrasive jet erosion, in turn, were pressure, abrasive weight, and standoffdistance.③The function and the structure characteristics of the concrete hydrodemolitionvehicle were introduced. With the method of design pattern, the types series ofengineering vehicle were determined, and the ranges of their parameters wereconfirmed.The feasibility of hydrodemolition engineering vehicle based on large flowabrasive water jet is corroborated, and the basic rules are studied. The foundationresearch preparation for concrete engineering vehicle is done.
