With the rapid development of traffic construction in China, more and morepractical engineering problems about the high fill subgrade need to be studied andsolved, such as the settlement deformation law and stability of high fill subgrade, thechoice of sensitive areas for subgrade monitoring and how to forecast and warn thegeological disasters by subgrade monitoring. For the above problems, this article makesa deep research and snalysis. The specific content and conclusion are included asfollows:(1)Stability and settlement calculation method of the high fill subgrade arerespectively discussed, dvantages and disadvantages of those calculation methods areanalyzed and compared to provide the basis for selecting the calculation method. Andthe finite element simulation method and the calculation accuracy problem are deeplyanalyzed.(2) The settlement deformation law and stability of high fill subgrade are analyzedand researched by the method of numerical simulation. Including the stability andsettlement of the subgrade under the action of various influence factors and foundationconditions, the law of settlement and lateral displacement changes In different parts ofthe subgrade and the lateral deformation influence on settlement.(3)Through the analysis of the deformation and failure law of high fill subgrade,the points located in the potential sliding body can clearly reflect the deformation andfailure situation as the monitoring key point, thus the subgrade model is established andthe monitoring points are set up. The method of subgrade monitoring for early warningis: by using the strength reduction analysis and plastic analysis module of the finiteelement software PLAXIS, different geotechnical parameters are combined andcalculate in the range of foundation and subgrade, then the corresponding safety factorand monitoring points displacement are got. Through the relationship curves of safetyfactor and displacement of monitoring points, and combined with the monitoring spotthat transmitted to the remote monitoring center by GPRS real-time network, thus theslope stability can be forecasted and warned.
