As energy problem and environment pollution becoming increasingly serious, vehicleas clean energy will have a very wide application prospect in the future. And in recent years,many countries have developped some new application researches of Vehicle to Grid(V2G),which treating vehicles as mobile energy-storage devices. V2G technology is a new type oftechnology that can accomplish the bidirectional exchange of the communication and theenergy with controlled, bidirectional chargers.The electric vehicle battery management system(BMS)in smart grid is one of themost important parts of V2G. By managing electric energy in vehicles, BMS can provide areference basis and security assurance for battery charging and discharging process.However, BMS applied in V2G can not only meet requirements of traditional functions,such as battery status information monitoring, balanced management, security managementand information processing, but also have the ability of stronger communication andfitting with charging and discharging device.After discussed the key technology solutions of BMS, this paper proposes adistributed type of BMS design, and make a detail description about both the hardwaredesign of main control module and measure control module. Module controller adoptsF28M35as MCU, concretely introduces design principles and methods of hardware circuits,such as the data sampling module, communication module, protection module and so on.This article also introduces the software design of BMS system which adoptedmodular design, analyzes the main functions of both main control module and measurecontrol module and puts forward some program flow charts.Based on MATLAB/SIMULINK platform, we settle a battery model, makessimulation for SOC estimation,which has proved the validity of SOC algorithm. Theresearch which has been done in paper will help the development of BMS in V2G.
