As a clean and non-polluting renewable energy, the development andutilization of wind energy has attracted enough attention. Wind power generationis developing fast in recent years. With the continuous increase of the installedcapacity of wind farms and the proportion of wind power in the whole energysystem, the impact of wind power on the power system also appears gradually. The impact on power quality is one of the major problems which are caused bywind power connected to the grid. There is an urgent demand to have a study onthis issue in order to take advantage of this new energy efficiently. In this paper, simulation analysis about wind farm containing doubly-fedinduction generators(DFIG)has been made. Research is carried out mainly fromtwo aspects, namely PCC (Point of Common Coupling) voltage stability and windfarm harmonic.Firstly,PCC voltage is selected as the study object of voltage stability. Thefluctuation of PCC voltage under the circumstance of wind farm switching andwind speed fluctuation as well as load variations is analyzed in the simulation.PCC voltages with different power factors of the wind farm are also compared. Secondly, the harmonic analysis of the output current of DFIG is presented.Analysis of the harmonic current spectrum with different operation conditions ofwind turbine is made and some statistics characteristics of harmonic current aregiven in this paper. At last,a probabilistic method is discussed which is sutible tothe harmonic current assessment of the wind farm.
