Energy feedback type electronic load is a power electronic device, by using powerelectronics technology and computer control technology, which can simulate a varietyof load characteristics, mainly used in power source load testing, at the same time,invert the power output by the power source to AC power and feedback to the powergrid. The energy feedback type electronic load system is composed of two parts: loadsimulation and energy feedback. The high step-up ratio energy feedback typeelectronic load researched of this topic mainly used for DC aviation generator (ratedvoltage28.5V, rated power5kW) load testing.This paper analyzes the working principle of the electronic load, determine theoverall design scheme of system. The DC aviation generator output low voltage andhigh current, also require the output current ripple is less than3%. Therefore, theelectronic load designed in this project based on DC-DC-DC-AC power circuittopology. The load simulation part is composed of Boost converter and Full-bridgeconverter topology, which pumping the DC aviation generator output28.5V voltage upto650V; meanwhile, control the output current size of the generator, implement thesimulation of the load size The Energy feedback part adopts three-phase invertertopology based on LCL filter, invert the DC power generate by the DC aviationgenerator to AC power and feedback to the three-phase power grid.After determined the system topology structure and control algorithm of theelectronic load, Simulate the electronic load system by MATLAB/Simulink, verifiedthe rationality of the system parameters and the control algorithm.Finally, a prototype of5kW energy feedback type electronic load is developed,and experiments were conducted to verify the results.
