Increasingly serious environmental problems force people to invest their vigor inclean energy, and it also makes electric vehicles become so hot research spot thatcountries came into being in the race. At the same time switched reluctance motor(SRM), as the core component in the electrical cars, again become a focus of research.More and more researchers trend to using complex intelligent control methods tocontrol the SRM to achieve high-performance of motors, although they have somegood ways to solve the problems of SRM, it is difficult to come true in the hardware.And now it is mainly being used in motor of experimental platform that develops theappropriate control hardware and transfer the control strategy to software, then usingthem to test the performance of motor control methods or the performance of the newstructure type motor by some experiments, this will lead to the long developmentprocess, and also the different types of motor cannot be test on the same platform. Thisthesis mainly discussed angles of switch on/off optimization control method and themotor starter position detection particularly; also elaborated setting up the experimentalplatform in the xPC environment.Thesis bring in the study to two research focus of this thesis by the rise of electricvehicles, they were angles of switch on/off optimization control method and motorstarter position detection, the theoretical reference can be got by the formulas ofelectromagnetic and other related formulas; thesis first proposed using the particleswarm optimization (PSO) to optimize angles of switch on/off, and gave out theoptimization process; about the motor start position detection, the thesis not onlyintroduced the theory, but also detailedly deduce the maximum pulse width of the pulsevoltage and minimum pulse width of it to make the result of detection with highreliability. The simulation results show that the particle swarm optimization can get thebetter results in the angles of switch on/off optimization; the motor start positiondetection method in thesis can facilitate to detect the start position of the motor.With respect to setting up the experimental platform for SRM, thesis illustrated indetail the principle of the experimental platform and the related components, then described the experimental environment and the development process of relevantmodules in the experimental environment. As an important component of the motorexperimental platform, this thesis introduces drive circuit design and calculation processof some parameters; finally in accordance with the block diagram of the experimentalplatform setting up the entire experimental platform. It is proposed applying the xPCexperimental environment in a switched reluctance motor experimental platform whichcan speed up the test of SRM. Also the operational statuses showed that theexperimental platform can complete some basic test of SRM.
