Landscaping garden seedlings, being the fundamental material of Landscaping greening configuration, an important way to improve the environment and a significant factor for biodiversity, perform a vital role in urban configuration. The emergence of landscaping garden in urban core area not because of its original choice of location, but as a result of expansion of urban development. Because in the process of urban development, the original location in the administrative division changes from the previous outskirts of the city into the present urban core. For the question of how to achieve the sustainable development of urban nursery and unearth its potential value, the author proposes strategies of multifunction nursery planning and design. To solve this problem, the author attempts to use the knowledge in Landscape Planning to do some exploration in nursery watching tours, science education, leisure and entertainment.This paper is researching on theNan Taizi Hu in Wuhan City of its multifunctional complex. It firstly analyzes the development of nursery under context of rapid development in garden nursery, and then describes the relevant research and policy and development-oriented urban planning and design theory and versatile nursery Methods. The second part analyzes the related concepts of urban multifunction nursery, presents a overview of the urban nursery development and in addition makes a careful introduction and observation on some relevantly typical cases.The third part of the paper summarizes the general thoery of this kind of nursery planning and design principles as well as predict the future trends of its development, providing the paper with professional theory and practice basis. The fourth part of the paper mainly makes a discussion in the current situation of base Analysis, SWOT analysis, clearly setting the concept of "green, humanities, science and technology "in planning and design and making reasonable goals of nursery development, in a bid to turn WuhanNan Taizi Hu nursery into a set of planning and construction production, research, exhibition, tourism, fitness as one of the urban landscape industry comprehensive platform, as well as a full-bodied Lake Waterfront Features urban ecological landscape area. The fifth part is about the overall planning and special planning of the research. The park is programmed as a whole in accordance with the scenery structure of "one axis, one centre, two belts, seven districts " forming a park entrance landscape axis, a core area of business, sightseeing Lake landscape, nursery stock band as well as multi-core parks, aquatic plants growing specialty area, horticulture areas, specialty tree conservation area, nursery growing areas to be a landscape structure of seven functional areas. By enhancing landscape and ecological value of sites, prominent display of the park lake scenery and unique culture of flowers and through the park road traffic planning, vegetation planning, drainage planning, power and telecommunication engineering planning, phased development plan and other special planning, we can achieve the improvement of park functions, reasonable arrangement for sightseeing routes, the protect of the park environment, sustainable development of artificial and natural. The final conclusion section summarizes the thesis of this paper of the achievements obtained in three areas:(1) the proposal of the concept of multi-functional composite nurseries;(2) the completion of practice in the Nan Taizi Hu multifunctional urban planning nurseries;(3) solution for the sustainability of the urban nursery development, offering a multi-function complex planning strategy to the sustainable development of urban nursery.
