Wind power is the important parts of clean and renewable energy and fast developing in resent years. Squirrel cage induction generator(SCIG) and Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) are used for grid connected wind power system in past age.With the booming of wind technology,direct driven permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind turbines are getting more effective.Because of without of gearbox,it could reduce potential problems and regular maintenance costs,so that direct driven PMSG wind turbine get more and more attention.This paper focus on direct driven permanent magnet synchronous generator and grid connected system simulation.Not only we research on control strategy of wind power system,but also justified the efficiency of new controller in wind power system:1.This paper is based on the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) strategy for wind turbine absorbing energy from wind,research characteristic of Direct-driven wind turbine,and modeling from wind to mechanical torque in Matlab/Simulink.2.Based on the PWM converter theory, and the voltage space vector PWM (SVPWM) in field oriented control is adopted for generator sider converter and grid sider converter with back-to-back IGBT frequency converter.The parts of generator is setted in d-p synchronous rotating reference frame with the rotor flux oriented vector control strategy,and grid side is grid voltage oriented vector control strategy;3. All parts of wind power system are modeled and justified in the soft of Matlab/Simulink.A novel controller for enhance system control strategy has applied in this wind power generation system.Simulation and results show comparison between conventional PI controller and the novel controllers via Matlab/Simulink. Results justified the enhancement of this novel controller.
