Study On The Surface Of Residential Architectures In Qingdao During German Occupation Period

Qingdao modern architectures reach a very high achievement in art, and the most intuitive is the embodiment of building skin. Architectures in Qingdao during German occupation period have linked closely to modern architectures. The research of the surface of architectures in Qingdao during this period can help us understand the architectures in Qingdao better. This thesis mainly select some Residential architectures as the research objects, which have distinct characteristics, high quality and keep the largest number, and make a thorough explanation on the surface of residential architectures.Through on-the-spot investigations on the residential architectures in Qingdao during German occupation period, it summarized their distributions and surface form, and divide them into "Non Localization"(The West) and "Localization"(Learning), analysis the characteristics of the two categories. At the same time, it chooses some typical cases of the two categories of architectures to analysis their surface. And then sums up the surface characteristics, for example, the morphological, the outer skin color features, decorative features and material characteristics during the study on the non-localizations in Qingdao during German occupation period. It also investigates the effect of local culture for the outer skin of residential buildings in Qingdao during this period. The thesis also analyses the background of local architectures, the reason why they emerged, and the surface of them, and then analyses the value of the surface of characteristics in Qingdao during this period. According to the on-the-spot investigations, it surveys the present situation of residential architectures, sums up the principles and countermeasures of protection.This thesis seeks an effective and practical means of protection according to the study on the surface of residential architectures in Qingdao during German occupation period, as to provide some valuable materials.
