In recent years, in ultrahigh pressure power line route designing use more and more high-precision GIS data, airborne lidar data is one of them. But in our country’s power line route design also use traditional way. Measure designer and electric designer use stereogram or DEM to design the power line route, in this way, not only their work place is restricted, but also their amount of work is very big, the quality of power line route optimizing is limited because of low data precision.This subject above those needs, research and development power line route design software, which can support high-precision3D geographic data. This software be installed on ordinary PC or notebook computer easy to use, can design the power line route in3D scene. the optimization of the design of the line in a three-dimensional scene. This software was successfully used in many500kV power line design project, and achieved good economic benefits.This software is based on own GIS software, can load the whole power line route design area geographic data, optimize the power line route in2D/3D scene, which can lively show the corner degree、line length、back gauge etc. In the same time, this software can install in ordinary PC or notebook, which can vastly improve the work efficiency.After the software development successfully, in several500kV power line design projects use this software to optimize the power line route, and use it modify the route in work site at final location survey stage, which vastly convenient to work and achieved good economic benefits.
