RC arch bridge is one of the most widely used type of highway bridges,especially in the western mountainous areas, which is suitable for the construction oflong-span RC arch bridge owing to its good condition in terrain and geology.However, poor structural integrity, uneven stress, cracking of arch box and poordurability are common in RC arch bridge when using cable-hoisting construction, soCantilever Casting construction and the combination of cantilever and stiff skeletonconstruction are mostly adopted in foreign countries. In recent years, China has alsotried to use Cantilever Casting to build three large span RC arch bridges, they areBaishagou1#bridge, Xinmidi bridge, Mupeng bridge, which shows the superiority ofCantilever Casting construction.Studies about the design of Cantilever Casting RC arch bridge are limited inchina, baseing on the study of design and construction techniques for CantileverCasting RC arch bridge, which belongs to the science and technology project ofGuizhou transportation holl, this paper will do something with the section structure ofthe arch, Cantilever Casting segmental length, and the tensile stress control during theCantilever Casting process. The main works are as follows:①Collecting and collating the design methods of main arch structure of largespan RC arch bridge at home and abroad.②Basing on the thin elastic plate theory and equivalent compression bar of arch,considering the local stability on top plate, bottom plate and web of arch box to figureout the width-thickness ratio limit, verifying its correctness with the finite element,and using it in some large span RC arch bridges at home and abroad.③Studying the structure of Concrete arch, optimizing the section size ofconcrete arch rib through weighted energy method. Studying the main effect of cableanchor position on the stress of arch during the construction.④According to different control objectives, around cantilever length, hangingbasket structure form, control method of tensile stress during the construction process,cable arch box anchorage position to study the variation rule of cable force,construction deformation, and construction stress in the process of Cantilever Castingconstruction.
