River of Shenbeizui reach is located in the Luzhou City that is in the upstream of Yangtze River, which is the most famous narrow, shallow rapids, dry and dangerous segment. It hampered navigation both in medium and flood. It is the only section of the Yangtze River to implement access control of the river throughout the year. River of Shenbeizui reach was carried out two projects remediation worked, remediation conditions have improved after the waterway. But there is no fundamental change in the situation chicane. In particular ship sailing down here, the operation is very difficult. To improve the level of the Yangtze River Waterway Route, Ministry of Transportation implemented waterway construction project in2005to2007, trenching and dredging for the South Passage. After the renovation waterway, conditions have been radically improved.To further enhance the role of waterway traffic signal conductor, improve waterway through capacity, and improve the signal station workers working and living conditions, this paper have done research on river pass signal conductor technology according to the actual situation after remediation waterway. Relocation signal station, moving the shore signal station from north to south, revoking Yandengfang signal station. The joint command was adjusted to a single command.Through the improvement of traffic signal conductor, the number of ships through the river is marked increased, it release ship15,782trips in2007,11%over2006. The ship through river is become to the large, single vessel of direction. Revoking Yandengfang signal station can save maintenance costs160,000yuan/year. The improvement works of traffic signal conductor technology of Shenbeizui plan have greatly promoted the Yangtze river upstream channel conditions.
