Expansive soil as the high plastic clay, has extremely unstable nature. Its waterexpansion, contraction water loss, shrinkage cracks, and other characteristics makebuildings have often uneven expansion and contraction deformation, resulting indisplacement of the building, cracking, tilt, or even destroyed. It is a typical projectof geological disasters soil. In recent years, the expansion of the soil strength anddeformation of study has become a hotspot. based on dynamic triaxial tests carriedout on expansive soil strength and deformation of the study is still rare. In additionto expansive soil are generally non-saturated soil in common, the greatest feature isthe strength of the movement has obvious characteristics affected by seasonalclimate. Through simulated soil shrinkage lf the seasonal wetlands expansion, wewill test its fluid, plastic limits, free expansion rate, shear strength and unconfinedcompressive strength, and with the relevant test results were compared to explorethe wet and dry cycle effect on the strength of expansive soil.
