With the improvement of power electronic devices and converter topologies,the emergence of worldwide energy crisis, the increasing recognition of new energypower generation, a considerable development in photovoltaic technology has madein the last few years. In this context, combined with practical application, this paperhas completed the process from theory to prototype about off-grid PV controllerand inverter.The main work of this paper is as follows:1.Make a survey about current situation and prospect of PV power generation,general structure and development trend of PV controller and inverter generationsystem.2.Analysis the output characteristics of PV modules, the necessity of MPPTalgorithm, the characteristics and advantage of lithium iron phosphate battery.3.Focus on circuit topology and control strategy in PV controller and invertergeneration system like synchronous buck converter, active clamp push-pullconverter and full-bridge circuit. This demonstrated the feasibility of powergeneration system designed in this paper in principle.4.Design a500VA off-grid PV generation system and give a comprehensiveanalysis of hardware circuit and software implementation.5.Summarize the test results of the prototype, and the theoretical basis beforeis proved by the results.
