In recent years, based on the resolver to get the rotor position and speed ofpermanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has become one of the hot researchfields among various countries.Firstly, the paper design the excitation circuit of resolver, conditioning circuit and thedigital interface circuit between AD2S1205and DSP based on the working principle ofresolver-to-digital converter AD2S1205, and the electronic circuit simulation softwareCadence/Pspice is used to simulate and analysis the designed interface circuits, thenexperiment results of PMSM drive system confirm the feasibility and effectiveness ofgetting the rotor position and rotor speed based on AD2S1205and designed the Peripheralinterface circuit.Secondly, based on the working principle and parameter settings principle ofdigital sine and cosine generator, and the performance of three amplitudedemodulation methods has been summarized and compared with each other. Aftercomparison, the output demodulated scheme is determined and the threshold valuesetting method is established, then, the improved lookup table algorithm andphase-locked loop are used to obtain the rotor position and speed, respectively.After showing the diagram of vector controlled PMSM system with thesoftware-based resolver-to-digital converter (RDC), the system simulation isimplemented and simulation results validates the feasibility and technicaladvantages of rotor position and rotor speed obtainment by software-based RDC.Finally, the reason of resolver output signals amplitude imbalance is analyzed,and the essential relationship is clarified between the amplitude imbalance androtor position error, moreover, the effect of position error is analyzed on the statorcurrent and torque. Then, based on the abovementioned researches, the adaptiveposition error compensator is designed. Then, the vector controlled PMSM systemwith the adaptive position error compensator is built; moreover, the systemsimulation results confirm the fault-tolerance capacity of proposed position errorcompensation scheme.
