In this paper, the development and application of GyroWheel as researchbackground, to achieve the speed flywheel drive and control system. The servo systemused phase-locked loop technology to realize high precision steady speed control, whileto achieve within a range of variable speed control. To achieve variable speed flywheelsystem hardware platform, as the core of integrated phase-locked loop chip andprogrammable logic device FPGA were used for the motor driving servo system of thevariable speed flywheel.Firstly, this thesis established a mathematical model of brushless DC motor for thevariable speed flywheel system. The structure of the phase-locked loop servo methodwas analyzed, that the ten-state PFD can reduce noise and interference to the system, alead-lag factor of the loop filter can improve the system dynamic performance. Throughinputting the ramp signal and acceleration signal of phase, the effects of steady speedand variable speed in the flywheel system were analyzed. The Matlab simulations havebeen proved that the flywheel system can realize high precision steady speed control,while the speed signals with rate in a certain range had ideal tracking results.Secondly, according to simulation model of the speed flywheel system, the systemhardware circuit was achieved by integrated analog PLL chip and so on. Including theusing of UC3635to achieve the function of phase frequency; building second-orderlow-pass filter and loop filter by integrated operational amplifiers; using the new motorcontroller to generate PWM signal, and complete the corresponding commutation logic;building inverter circuit with compact intelligent Power Module; designing the functioncircuit of pump discharge to provide protection for hardware circuit and so on.Then, programmable logic device FPGA was used to integrate the most parts ofanalog hardware circuit. Including ten-state PFD, second-order Butterworth filter, loopfilter with lead-lag factor. By counting function to realize triangular carrier, it generatedpredetermined frequency of PWM control signal, and achieved commutation logic withPWM-ON modulation output mode. By the functional and timing simulation of Quartusâ…ˇ, the correctness of the design of each module was verified.Finally, some experiments with two different circuits have been carried out. By thephenomenon of steady speed and variable speed during the experiment of flywheelmotor control, it is proved that phase-locked loop technology can achieve goodapplication of the variable speed system, and both of them can achieve good results inthe drive and control of variable speed flywheel system.
