At present, the domestic research basically focuses on two aspects: the tablebody assembling, Optimization of components, and research on control strategy.There are a lot of literatures at home and abroad for the Simulator’s control strategy,therefore it is necessary to resesrch the hardware in order to improve theperformance of the equipment. Swing electro-hydraulic servo motor is the corecomponent of the high precision simulator, whose performance affects the wholemachine performance directly. Previous engineering practice has proved that themotor seal in the motor is not only the most critical and difficult but also the mostweak part.First of all, this paper discusses the key component swing servo motor simply,and proposes that the seal is the key factor impacting the performances of the swingservo motor; the packing form combination seal is the most widely applied sealingtechnology used in the swing servo motor, and then the main research direction ofthe topic is determined.This paper states the related seal of swing servo motor and the principles ofselecting seal material. After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of allkinds of seal, the best seal type is selected. Calculating the stress and strain of themain parts of the motor at the highest system pressure, and the results show that itfully meet the requirements of the strength, and the defomation is negligibly small,so it can be considered as a completely rigid interface. The paper establishes themathematical model of O-ring, and calculates its maximum contact stress andcontact length. The mathematical model of dynamic seal and the vane seal is built inADINA, and the sealing performance is analyzed in different compression ratio andsystem pressure.Above all, the best working condition for each key seal fricition is determinedby the orthogonal test, and the swing motor internal leakage measurement test rig issuccessfully modified, which has measured the dynamic and static leakage underdifferent compression ratio of O-ring, in order to further evaluate the sealingperformance for the related preparation.
