Ion pump is widely used in the field of aerospace, military, medical and soon. In order to prolong the ion pump’s life, the power supply for ion pump shouldprovide the high quality electrical energy. This thesis for the application study ofthe ion pump high voltage power supply in space. Design a high voltageswitching power supply with output negative resistance characteristics is veryimportant in this area.The main topology of the power supply is cascade topology. The front-endconverter is Buck circuit and the after converter is Push-pull circuit with tensteps voltage doubling rectifying circuit. Comparing with the single-stagetopology, the cascade topology can reduce the influence of the switch adjustmentto the transformer. Using the voltage doubling rectifying circuit can reduce thetransformer turns ratios and the parasitic parameters. At the same time, theisolation way is easy to achieve. The article will be given a detailed analysisabout the main topology. Then the small signal model of the cascade topology isestablished. The system stability and the compensation network parameters areanalyzed and designed. Make true the system run in the stability working point.In the high voltage power supply, the transformer is the important part toproduce the high voltage. In order to making the transformer stable operation, theparameter and winding way of the transformer should be reasonable designed. Inaddition, using the parameter of the transformer to study soft switchingtechnology to reduce the switching loss and improve the efficiency of the wholepower supply.In order to satisfy the output load characteristic curve, the ion pump highvoltage switching power supply need to precise sampling the output current.Control circuit adopts the non-insolate style. Make the output voltage changingwith the reference voltage. Make sure the power supply can output steady from0V to5000V. The power supply can manual output negative resistancecharacteristics. Then improved the control circuit, let the result of the samplingof the output current and voltage to control the power supply together. Theconsequence of the controlling is the output voltage linear changing follow theoutput current. Furthermore in the view of the security of the power supply, thecontrolling circuit is using the magnetic feedback technology for isolation.Improves the security of the whole power supply.This thesis gives the detailed analysis of the main topology and designing method of the parameters. Testing the performance of the prototype. The ionpump high voltage power supply has the advantages that well load characteristics,output current precision sampling, and full isolation.
