With economic development, the helicopter plays an increasingly important role in the nationallife, and the reliability and safety of helicopter flight control system are paid more and more attentions.Therefore how to improve the self-repairing capacity becomes a hot topic for the experts. The paperproposed four different Direct Self-Repairing Control scheme for the helicopter flight control system.In the case of the fault aggravated continuously, the paper proposed a Direct Self-RepairingControl (DSRC) scheme via the Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) for the helicopter LPVsystems. The scheme mainly used the adaptive control and the outer loop compensation to completethe goal of Self-Repairing Control (SRC). What’s more, the scheme had certain value in engineering.In the case of fault, the paper proposed a DSRC via Adaptive Sliding Mode Back-SteppingControl and Nonlinear Observer for the Helicopter Flight Control System (HFCS) with the unknownparameter. The performances of the adaptive sliding mode control and the control accuracy of theSRC were both improved for the observer brought. For the HFCS with the uncertain parameters, thepaper proposed a DSRC via Adaptive Sliding Mode Control (ASMC). The scheme not only overcamethe uncertain problem but also ensured the system real time. The paper proposed a DSRC scheme fora class of MIMO nonlinear HFCS via ASMC. The SISO self-repairing controller was firstly given.And then the scheme was extended to the MIMO nonlinear system. This scheme had certainuniversality.Each scheme proposed in the paper was simulated in the HFCS. The simulation showed that all ofthe schemes were effective.
