As energy problem and environment problem is becoming increasingly serious, theeconomic operation and environmental benefits of power network are focused moreattention. And the requirements of grid structure, degree of automation and interactivity isalso increasing. So it is, reactive power assignment optimization is one of the effectivemeans which to ensure the security, economy operation of the redial distribution system.Distribution network power flow is the basis of the analysis of distribution network. Someoptimization problems such as network reconfiguration and capacitor placement requirehundreds even thousands times of power flow calculation. And by optimizing the operationon the one hand, can be in situ balanced load, reduce the loss of distribution network, onthe other hand also can make limited resources to maximize the economic and socialbenefits.Distribution network power flow is studied in this paper. After analyzing power flowalgorithms, a fast load flow algorithm based on second order term is proposed. Making useof the fact that the load flow equations are a set of quadratic algebraic one when expressedby rectangular coordinates, first, the derived algorithm uses the Taylor series expansion totransform the load flow equations to a quadratic matrix equation. Then, the This methodhas been tested on IEEE33-bus distribution system, and the simulation results has shownthat the proposed method is simple, fast, and would be applied for on-line implementation.Introduction of distributed generations impacts the structure and operation ofdistribution network. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a nonlinear optimizationmethod for optimal placement of distributed generations to realize the maximal value ofthe distributed generations. The optimal location of distributed generations was determinedby order of the sensitivities of node power losses respective to nodal loads. The proposedmethod took the minimization of active power loss of distribution network as optimizationobjective to construct mathematical model from the viewpoint of achieving minimumactive power loss. Then, sequential quadratic programming was adopted to calculate theoptimal capacities of distributed generations. Finally, the reactive power planning optimization methods have been studied.Sensitivity reactive power compensation point, combined with the power flow modelderived reactive power planning and optimization model and solving sequential quadraticprogramming, IEEE33-bus distribution system The simulation integrated voltage network loss.
