| As the world cultural heritage, Fujian Tulou is located in the southeastcoastal area of China. Due to the special geographical position, they arefrequently suffered typhoon and extreme weather. Typhoon with heavy rainscauses the most harm. The erosion of rammed earth wall caused by thewind-driven rain becomes the main damage of Fujian Tulou. Aimed at theprotection of Fujian Tulou, this paper analysis the damage mechanism andthe influencing factors of erosion based on the survey and test. This researchhas the practical reference value for protection of Fujian Tulou.First of all, the geotechnical tests of rammed earth from several typicalage are conducted, including soil density, moisture content, graincomposition, fluid, plastic limit and mechanical properties. The composition, classification and basic properties of different rammed earth are analysisedwhich is the foundation of further research. This paper conduct the splash erosion test and simulated rainfall test.Through the splash erosion test, the influence of different raindrop diameter, different wind angel and different composition of rammed earth wall areanalyzed. The test results show that: there is a critical wind speed V0whenthe splash erosion reaches the minimum; There is also a critical diameter ofraindrop which is mattered with wind speed; The composition of rammedearth also has impact on the erosion amount:the silty clay with coarseparticle get the most serious damage, the high liquid limit clay get theminimum and the silty clay without coarse particle is in the middle. Andfinally get the relationship curve and the regression equation of rainfallintensity and splash erosion depth. The influence of single raindrop splasherosion mechanism is further analyzed. The splash erosion quantity indifferent rainfall intensity can be calculated using the regression equation.Through the simulated test, this paper researched the influence of different wind angel and different rainfall intensity considering the comprehensive function rain andscour. It get the erosion damage characteristics and influencing factors. The specificrules are: there is a peak slope to the erosion which is affected by the soil propertyand rainfall intensity; the water film caused by rainfall has the buffer action to therain load; the different nature of the rammed earth have the different failure pattern,HT2shows the biggest damage, HT1has the leased and HT3is in the middle. |
