In recent years, the development of the construction of highways and bridges is rapid. Inthe majority of our coastal areas, there are building or have been built many river bridges.Such as comprises the harbor bridges, the bridges at the islands, and the coastal highway, etc.And the road network of coasts and islands inevitably cause damage due to the factors of themarine environment, such as tides, waves, storm surges, typhoons, and sea ice.Firstly, the thesis carries out a thorough research and analysis of the marine environmentof the coastal roads and bridges. Secondly, from the research and analysis, the articlesummarizes the marine environmental factors that affect the coastal roads and bridges. Itmainly includes water, waves, tides, currents, sea ice, earthquakes, and atmosphere which fullof chlorine ion, etc. Some of these factors become the power or static load of roads andbridges, and some cause material corrosions. There will be serious impact on the durabilityand security of the roads and bridges along the coast or the islands.Through the full investigation and analysis of the coastal roads and bridges in the Bohaisea region (Qinhuangdao, Cangzhou, Tangshan) which in Hebei Province, the result showsthat the chloride corrosion is the main destruction of the coastal roads and bridges. Thedestruction of the bridges is mainly concentrated on the main beam, capping beam, bridgedeck, fence, bridge piers and other structures or members; however, it is the curbstone aboutthe roads. The weathered is so serious that flaking. In response to the damage of the coastal highway and bridges, the paper presents thecorresponding effective countermeasures of the construction about the bridges in estuaries.Firstly, the rubber dam should be set in close proximity to the river mouth; it not onlyprevents the erosion damage or seawater intrusion when the tide is coming, but also avoidsthe corrosion damage of the facilities of bridges and embankments. Secondly, brushes thesurface of bridge columns with anti-corrosion materials. Thirdly, increases the thickness ofconcrete cover. Fourthly, optimizes the concrete mix design. Fifthly, builds protection works,or does a good job of slope protection. For example, takes protective measures for roadbed, such as wave wall, breakwater, and bag concrete. According to the study of the influencing factors and the corrosion mechanism of themarine environment for concrete structures, we can find that the anti-corrosion technology ofconcrete structures should be implemented mainly from three aspects, including the structuraldesign of concrete structures, the corrosion protection of the structural steel, and the concrete. And the article proposes many corrosion protection measures.
