| Accelerating tube is one of the most important components of the electronic irradiationaccelerator. After the electron beam was emitted by the hot cathode electron gun, it movedthrough the accelerating tube which accelerated and focused the beam. The design ofaccelerating tube is extremely important as a part of beam transmit system for the severeoperating environment, which mainly contents high vacuum, high pressure and highvoltage.This article is mainly composed of the following aspects.First of all, solved analytical expressions of beam transport envelope considering thespace charge effect, based on beam transport theory and paraxial approximation theory;subsequently established the accelerating tube model and analyze the electric field inAnsoft software. Compile beam analysis programs with Matlab based on four-orderRunge-Kutta method, and try to optimize the beam transport process by changing the localelectric field.Second, insulation performance of accelerating tube under high voltage was mainlystudied, comparative analysis of different electrode structure on the insulating properties,summed up some voltage homogenizationand over-voltage protection measures.Finally, the project implementation was focused on mechanical properties. Selectedthe accelerating tube material, the seal type and technology, analyzed the structuralstrength of the accelerating tube with Solidworks simulation, mainly analyzed of theassembly displacement of key parts in the accelerating tube.This paper completed the design of the DC high voltage accelerating tube, from beamtransmission analysis to mechanical structural analysis, and can be referenced for relatedarea to design a research. |
