As to the frequent conservation of our road overlay, the pavement get higher leaving the barrier relative height reduced.It has Serious impact on the guardrail collision avoidance capability.1) Through the actual car-established bus and minibus elastomer car model, vehicle system established in accordance with the real vehicle model, ensuring that the vehicle track and establishing "Car-barrier" collision system simulation model.2) In the experiment, each lower20mm standard height for a collision simulation,and combined with the findings before and after traffic accidents in the highway overlay, studying the barrier height reduced the impact on safety performance. The paper pointed out the conditions of the standard collision. When the barrier height down to60mm, the large passenger vehicles crossed the barrier phenomenon. When down to100mm, the vehicle ride cross-fence and the center of gravity across the deformation of the fence centerline. When down to120mm, the guardrail basic loss of blocking feature and the vehicle directly out of the barrier. The conclusion for the barrier conservation and transformation of the timing and rehabilitation programs to develop and provide an important basis.3) Put forward "the new type of highway barriers" scheme and use a large number of simulated crash tests of new and highly adjustable barrier structure and composition and geometry has been optimized. New barrier during vehicle crash tests, actual vehicle crash test and simulation results are very consistent, to verify the accuracy of the simulation model.
