| In recent years,with the increase in car ownership,increasing scarcity of oil resourcesand increasingly stringent emission standards,many counties study cars are more concernedabout their economic and emissions.However, the fuel atomization quality directly affectingthe economy and emission,therefor,now the international more attention in study on thequality of fuel atomization.Currently,there are many ways to study the quality of fuel atomization,includingtheoretical studies and experimental methods.Comparison of different research methods, tofind a more economical and practical research methods is very important.This paper main studies the different methods of testing pure diesel fuel spraycharacteristics.First,use flash photography method and wet paper method to comparativestudy the pure diesel fuel spray cone angle.The conclusion is that the wet paper methodmeasured spray cone angle is larger than flash photography method,but the error less than5%.Meanwhile, in the comparative study drawn under the same injection pressure,with thenozzle diameter increases,the spray cone angle increases;in the same nozzle diameter, withthe increase in injection pressure,the spray cone angle decreases.Secondly,use Malvern method test average diameter, characterized indiameter,divergence and distribution curve of pure diesel fuel.The conclusion:in the sameinjection pressure, with the nozzle diameter decreases,the average diameter, characterized indiameter and divergence are decrease,the PDF distribution curve and cumulative volumedistribution curve offset to the left and the atomization quality get better;under the samenozzle diameter, with the increase in injection pressure,the average diameter, characterizedin diameter and divergence are decrease,the PDF distribution curve and cumulative volumedistribution curve offset to the left and the atomization quality get better.Thirdly,the Particle Measuring Systems dealing the picture from flashphotography.The results compare with Malvern’s experimental results,both methodsmeasured results are coincide.Use the Particle Measuring Systems dealing the picturecompared to the image collection and manual direct statistical particle is simple and rapid.Compared to the expensive Malvern,the Particle Measuring Systems is more acceptby most researchers.In the theoretical calculations,by continuously adjusting the Lagrangecoefficient of variation,the result are coincide with Malvern’s experimental results. |
