Over the past twenty years, the construction of the highway in our country isdeveloping rapidly, the highway traffic has been gradually cannot meet the demand of thecapacity growth. Due to the high cost of the new roads, so the original highwayrebuilding is an appropriate method to solve the capacity requirements. Road wideningproject for the new and old roadbed diseases caused by uneven settlement is numerous, such as the widening road than prone to the road cross-sectional slope change, thepavement structure damage, the new and old roadbed junction slip, as well as thecombination of the new and old roadbed bad diseases, such as the root cause of thesediseases for the new and old sub grade differential settlement. Existing research is basedon the highway widening project on the collapsible loess in Inner Mongolia region uniquegeological conditions, what the approach can effectively cut the new and old roadbedpost-construction settlement difference research is not much. It is very important to thehighway widening project of Inner Mongolia。In this paper,selecting9test sections; use9kinds of widening roadbed treatment, indifferent parts of a total of18monitoring sections. Respectively the application on thedeep subsidence, horizontal displacement and pour water pressure, geogrid weremonitored.Through the comparative analysis of the different reinforcement in the new roadshoulder corresponding quantity of the post-construction settlement of the foundation, theresearch has shown that the surcharge preloading method in cutting the new and oldroadbed uneven settlement after the most significant effect on; Geocells than the geogridmore effectively enhance the capacity of the new and old roadbed combination.
