With the increscent demand to material and cultural, the purpose of the existing buildingis changed a lot and need to be reinforced and renewed due to its increased structural load andthe function requirements. New beam-column joints will be formed by adding newcomponents, support points or support system to alter the overall power transmission system.Because of the great damage happened in the node, the transform connection method ofbeam-column joints in reinforced concrete structures and its anti-seismic performance studyhave important significance in theory research and engineering application. In this paper, based on the relevant literature, through the analysis of the newbeam-column joints, comparative research on existing method of planting steel bar andadditional plant steel beam column node method is carried on, the method to improve theadditional quantity and arrange the beam column node connection are proposed and three setsof five specimens such as the original planting steel bar, no additional plant steel bar andadditional plant steel bar are designed. By means of all specimens under cyclic loading tests, through the analysis of hysteresis curves, skeleton curves, ductility, energy dissipation, etc, three main research conclusions are achieved:(1) the bearing capacity of node can beremarkable increased by reasonable planting the additional quantity of steel bar, the nodeductility and energy dissipation capacity can be improved effectively and the stiffnessdegradation of the specimens and other performance can be retarded;(2) the position ofplastic hinge in beam can be changed and the shear failure on the core zone can be avoided byadding additional bar;(3) new formula for the shear capacity of reinforced concretebeam-column joints is put forward. The above results have a certain reference value for further study on the reinforcedconcrete beam-column node connection method and its stress performance, and also have important implications for the design specifications of concrete reinforcement andreconstruction. The results can be used for reference in the actual project design andconstruction.
