Study On The Method And Mechanism Of Foundation Pit Suppor-Ting Adjacent To The Existing Building

In recent years, with the development of the economy, the city construction process hasbeen accelerated, which led to the development of urban redevelopment and the utilization ofunderground space. Therefore, more and more foundation is emerged, most of which werenext to existing building. How to protect the safety of the existing building and thestabilization of the foundation pit is the key point to choose the supporting method duringexcavation. And in recent years the engineering accidents became more and more common, soit is significant and valued in studying on the supporting method and mechanism of foundationpit.In this paper, based on the existing supporting method and engineering practice,according to the excavation adjacent to existing building, a new kind of supporting methodcombined preloading underpinning pile with soil nailing support is introduced. Themechanism, supporting characters, design essentials and construction craft of the supportingmethod are analyzed. By use of numerical analysis method, the supporting model of thefoundation pit supporting method combined by Preloading Underpinning Pile and Soil Nailingis simulated. The result of the simulation shows the horizontal and vertical displacement offoundation pit can be effectively limited in the foundation pit supporting method combined bypreloading underpinning pile, the axial force distribution of nail is more evenly. According tothe engineering application, the supporting method is proved to be effective.There are many advantages of the foundation pit supporting method combined byPreloading Underpinning Pile and Soil Nailing,such as being convenient to construct, lessconstruction time,no noise pollution,low construction cost and smaller area of workingplace,etc.So the supporting method is an ideal and effective support mode for the foundationpit engineerings in the city centry,for which the construction site and construction time isrestricted.The results of this research can be referenced for the similar subjects andengineerings.
